Exceptional large pair of hall torch holders in bronze with medal and golden bronze patina, representing two young women in full length, one Indian and the other Persian standing in opposition. Richly dressed in drapery, a turban, bracelet and an exquisite and finely engraved jewellery set. She carries at arm’s length a torch with six branching sconces.
French work from the second half of the 19th century. Napoleon III period.
