Another son of Jean-Baptiste Befort, he was born in Paris in 1813. He got married in 1839 with Adelaide Gouffé who died in 1873. He remained 1, rue Neuve-Saint-Gilles from 1844 to 1866 and then 6, rue Neuve-Saint-Gilles until 1880.
He was cabinet-maker and, specialized, like his brother, in Boulle furniture fabrication and rosewood furniture with mosaics and bronzes. Those works are the principals we can see today.
