GIROUX Alphonse

1776-1848

Son of Francois Giroux, collaborator and successor of his father. In 1838, his parents gave their exploitation to him and his brother. Alphonse became the director of this commerce of fantasy objects and paper manufactory. At the French Industry products Exhibition in 1839, he obtained a silver medal.
In 1867, he sold to Duvinage and Harinkouke. Napoleon 3rd and the impress Eugenie bought different pieces to him : a petit bureau in 1885, two rosewood chiffoniers and bronze ornaments, candelabras, clocks and vases in 1857.
