Drouot Édouard

Édouard Drouot was a French sculptor born in Sommevoire on April 3, 1859 and who died in Paris on May 22, 1945. Student of Émile Thomas and Mathurin Moreau at the Beaux-Arts in Paris, member of the Salon of French artists, Édouard Drouot exhibited at the Salon Le Crépuscule and obtained an honourable mention in 1889 and a third-class medal in 1892. He was also awarded an honourable mention at the 1900 Paris Exposition.
He is known for his bronze and marble sculptures with allegorical and mythological scenes, which are distinguished by their sense of movement and expressive touch.
