LAPINI CÉSARE

1848-1898

Césaire Lapini, born in Florence, Italy in 1848, was an Italian sculptor from the second half of the 19th century. He worked in Florence and exhibited his works in Rome. He was inspired by themes portraying women and religious or mythological figures in a style that sometimes evoked that of Canova. He also sculpted several bathers and female figures, often with attitudes of modesty. His creations are mainly made up of Carrara marble sculptures, executed to an extremely high quality.
