Sculptor

WAAGEN Arthur

1833-1898

Very few of this artist’s works are well-known. He was born in East Prussia and died in Paris at the end of the 19th century. The rare objects that appear from time to time on the market and those exhibited at the Salon tell us about his specialties: oriental characters and animal subjects.
His works were created in bronze, in particular Kabyle au retour de la chasse, a group in various sizes and in polychrome.
He worked mainly with his producer L. Martin.
