Bronze figure with light brown polychrome patina and gilding, representing a Samurai, wearing sandals, shielding himself from the sun with his right hand, and holding a staff with his left. Dressed in a kimono with Japanese patterns, such as flowers, a dragon and clouds. He carries a straw mattress on his back and boxes of food on his chest.
Lacquered wood base, resting on four small feet, with lace patterns and gilded filets.
Exceptional quality of patina and execution of carving.
Signed on the back on the cartouche
Japanese work from the second half of the XIX century, circa 1890.
