Exceptional pair of large vases by the Sèvres manufacture

Exceptional pair of large porcelain vases from Sèvres in lapis lazuli blue and gilded bronze with yellow and red matte and burnished gold. They are ovoid in shape with a long, curved neck. The vases are enhanced with gilt bronze ruffled decoration. The elongated collar supports a tieback with finely engraved and gilded bronze knots.
The body of the vase is inserted into a foliated base with acanthus leaf patterns placed on a piedouche. The ornament rests on a circular white onyx base adorned with an interlacing pattern and placed on three toupie feet.
