Large pair of Greek tripod Amphorae

Large pair of Greek Amphorae with pointed tips, tripod model with handles and flared neck, in polychrome bronze with light brown patina and gilding. The body of the vases is decorated with a Bucranium frieze, palmette motifs and bands of leaves. Arched in the centre, with a scene representing Hercules leading a goat to the sacrifice and Pan playing the double flute in front of the bust of Hermes, which is placed on an altar. On the reverse side, two decorations symbolise the attributes of Music, and the other of Comedy. At the top of each foot is a bust representing bearded Hercules, his head covered with a lion’s muzzle and ending with a lion’s paw.Neo-Greek style movement.
