Nude with bathrobe by Jules Scalbert

Exceptional large pastel depicting a naked young woman smoking a cigarette. Smiling, she is comfortably seated and relaxed on a sofa. Her head is slightly bent over a cushion. Dressed in a half-open bathrobe in shades of golden yellow and green, she lets her pink slippers slide to her feet. In the background, the wall adorned with a Japanese silk pattern creates a warm atmosphere. Roses delicately placed beside her on the sofa complete the scene, adding a romantic touch.

Original gilded and carved wooden frame with Regency shell spandrels in each corner.
