Pair of Louis XIV style silver plated bronze candelabra
A pair of Louis XIV style matt and burnished silvered bronze candelabra with five arms of light on two levels. The arms are attached to a central pedestal urn adorned with four female masks. The whole composition rests on an Ionic capital supported by a square central shaft with canted sides.
Finely carved with palmettes in reserve, the upper part features two medallions with the heads of a man and a woman in the antique style in opposition.
The square base with concave sides and moulded plinth rests on four small feet with gadroon motifs.
French work in the Louis XIV style circa 1850-1860.
Napoleon III period.
