Rococo style fireplace clock in chased and gilded bronze.
The clock rests on an openwork and curved counter-terrace, supported by cambered feet at the back and flared feet at the front. It is curved in the middle with a flower motif. Surmounted by a seated Cupidon playing a lyre, the sinuous case, decorated with latticework sides and branch and flower motifs, is flanked in the centre by a musical attribute. It contains a movement with a white enamelled dial with Roman numerals.
Inspired by the Rocaille style.
Signed “Boudet in Paris -43 Boulevard des Capucines”.
Monograms with “FL” for François Linke.
French work from the beginning of the 20th century, around 1910.
