Exquisite pair of paintings on wooden panels, representing wedding scenes in a forest landscape, with beautiful architectural decorations, including a church and fountains. Depicts courtiers surrounded by musicians, dogs and carriages.
Period frame in gilded wood with fluted patterns and acanthus leaves on spandrels.
Inspired by Watteau.
French work from the second half of the 19th century, around 1870-1880.
Attributed to Alexandre Veron-Bellecourt.
