Pair of candelabra – Manufacture Baccarat

Rare and magnificent pair of candelabra in crystal and gilded bronze. Pylon-shaped column in cut-crystal with diamond points and four arms decorated with foliage, flutes and rinceaux, topped with a pinecone and lambrequins. Candle cups and drip pans are finely decorated with foliage, oak acorns and pinecones. The base comprises four rolled acanthus leaves. The feet rest on a drapery engraved with foliage and scrolls and at the centre of a starred pattern. The crystal base is also comprised of cut diamond tips. The whole rests on four tasselled feet with leafy discs.

French work executed by Manufacture BACCARAT for the Paris International Exposition of 1867.

The Baccarat factory had its own manufacturing workshop for its bronze mounts.
