Rare cage-shaped chandelier by Samson manufacture

Cage-shaped chandelier in gilded bronze with four sconces ending in flowered drip pans. Richly decorated with polychrome porcelain flowers; the upper part is half patterned in rosettes and crystal drops. In the centre is a porcelain statuette in the style of Saxony representing a standing merchant.

French work from the 19th century around 1860-1880.
